As the Director of Sales and BD you will be responsible for exceeding company’s sales & BD targets in an assigned territory – USA states.
This will include developing territorial plans, acquisition of new channel partners and end customers, developing relationships and on-going management of channels & end customers, as well as management of other related activities in the territory.
You will be required to demonstrate deep knowledge and understanding of the region’s video surveillance industry and market.
You will be reporting to the VP of global sales and business development.
Responsibilities
Achieving territorial sales and business development targets.
Overall responsibility for company’s business and operations in the target markets.
Create marketing, business and operational plans based on a fixed budget and achievable revenue goals.
Execute company’s go-to-market strategy in the target markets by building and maintaining a network of system integrators, distributors and/or value-added resellers.
Produce period business performance reports according to company’s guideline as well as provide market intelligence.
Represent the company in conferences, seminars, forums or any professional events that can promote the company.
Required Skills
At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
Experience in the USA market, Canada – an advantage.
Experience in working with market system integrators/distributors.
Experience with working directly with end customers.
Experience with introducing a new product into the market.
Deep business knowledge and experience in video surveillance and the video analytics market. – an advantage.
Proven past experience in business development and sales (channel and account management)
Hands-on can execute all major roles if required: business development, sales, channel and account management.
A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around them.
Outstanding negotiating skills.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English – must have, Spanish, French – advantage)
Ability to travel domestic and abroad when needed.
